On Tuesday the 30th of October I went along to Metropolis recording Studios in Chiswick , London to sing a couple of lines of the Song “He Ain’t Heavy” originally by The Hollies. This heart wrenching song will be released soon to raise awareness and funds for the legal fight of the families of the 96 people who lost their lives in the Hillsborough Football stadium disaster in 1989. Produced by Guy Chambers: many artists contributed including Sir Paul McCartney, Gerry Marsden, Robbie Williams , Mel C, Rebecca Ferguson , Beverly Knight Paloma Faith and The Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and a host of music industry individuals including Radio PR Dylan White and Steve Tandy , Press by LD Communications all donated their services.

Result :

Thank you all for making this song the Christmas number one for 2012 here’s the link to the announcement from The Official Chart Company . It was neck and neck all the way with the highly promoted X Factor winners single “Impossible” by James Arthur which was also in aid of a worthy cause and released a week earlier, also reaching number one in the UK official chart. Congratulations to  all of those involved with the Justice Collective record . Here’s hoping that the families of the 96 finally receive Justice for all that they have endured.
